The road is a key route into Stewarton from the M77 and Glasgow
What We Have Done:
We have updated an existing storm overflow and associated pipework to help alleviate flooding during periods of extreme weather.
The required road closure was timed to coincide with the school summer holiday to minimise disruption to the community and was completed nearly a month ahead of schedule.
We thank everyone impacted for their understanding while our teams carried this work out as safely and as efficiently as possible.
The project is part of our £500million Improving Urban Waters investment programme.
