Sewer network repairs
Work is due to begin in January 2026
We are planning to carry out essential sewer network repairs beneath the railway near King Street car park in Inverkeithing towards the end of January 2026.
These works are critical to maintaining and improving the reliability of the local infrastructure and ensuring the long-term efficiency of the sewer network.
To comply with railway safety requirements and minimise disruption to daytime rail services, the work will be carried out overnight between 22:00hrs and 08:00hrs, seven days a week. We fully appreciate that night-time construction can be disruptive and that the associated noise may cause inconvenience. Please be assured that every effort will be made to keep noise levels as low as possible. However, due to the nature of the work and the equipment required, some noise will unfortunately be unavoidable.
The exact dates for starting the work will be communicated in due course.
