What we are doing
Scottish Water Horizons is carrying out water main upgrade work on a section of Orchard Park Avenue from Wed 2nd Sep until approx. Fri 16th October.
This will involve a temporary road closure on Braefield Drive for the duration.
The work is being delivered by Mackenzie Construction.

Latest update
Since the start of September, our team has been working to replace a new section of public water main on Orchard Park Avenue and Braefield Drive. Unfortunately, we have encountered unforeseen challenges including difficult existing ground conditions and the discovery of lead service pipes on the section of water main which are required to be replaced. As a result, our work programme has been extended by two weeks.
With agreement from the Local Authority, the existing traffic management arrangements and road closure on Braefield Drive have been extended and the work is now scheduled to last until approximately Friday 16th October.
The existing parking restrictions will remain in place and access to driveways will still be maintained where possible. We appreciate the significant impact the work and traffic management restriction is having on residents and commuters. Please be assured we are doing all we can to complete the work as quickly as possible and have deployed additional resources to minimise any further delays.
