Achintore Road, Fort William

We are carrying out repairs at our wastewater pumping station on Achintore Road as part of ongoing work to improve the local sewer network and help protect the environment in Fort William.

The work is scheduled to take place from Wednesday 14 October until Monday 26 October 2026.

To minimise disruption, the work will be carried out overnight between 8pm and 6am, seven days a week. During these hours, a temporary lane closure will be in place on the seaward side of Achintore Road, with temporary traffic lights operating while work is underway. These arrangements will be removed during the day.

As part of the repair, we will use temporary overpumping equipment and pipework along the footpath on Achintore Road. This means the footpath will be closed for the duration of the works, and signed diversions will be in place where required.

Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout.

The work is being delivered by our contractor, AG Wilson.
