What We Are Doing:

We are constructing a replacement storm overflow chamber and associated pipework beneath Springwell Park.

When excess rainwater is discharged, the new chamber will ensure any sewer related debris does not end up in the Annick Water.

Work is scheduled to start in September 2026 for approximately six months.

In order to facilitate the safe delivery of these works a short section of Meikle Crescent will be closed for the duration of the works. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Springwell Park will be closed for the duration, with a diversion of the core path in place.

Our site team will work with the community to minimise disruption during delivery of this latest investment. We thank the community in advance for their patience and understanding while we carry out this essential work.
