Water Main Upgrade: Culbokie & Surrounding Areas

Project Overview
We are carrying out essential upgrades to the water main in Culbokie and surrounding areas to ensure our customers continue to enjoy fresh, clear drinking water, and reduce the chances of pipes bursting.
The work will be carried out in phases.
There will be roadworks during the period of work, including various road closures and temporary traffic lights.
The work will be delivered by Morrison Construction on behalf of Scottish Water.

Remedial Works - August 2026
Scottish Water will be carrying out remedial works in Culbokie following our recent water main renewal project. These works will help improve and restore affected areas within the community.
When will the work take place?
Work is scheduled to begin on 10th August 2026 and is expected to take approximately:
- 3 days on the U2621
- 10 days on Main Street
Traffic Management
To allow the work to be carried out safely, the following traffic management will be in place:
- A road closure on the U2621 from 10th to 12th August. Access to properties will be maintained throughout.
- Temporary traffic lights on Main Street for approximately 10 days following completion of the road closure works.
What to Expect
- Work areas will be securely fenced off and left in a safe condition.
- There may be an increase in construction traffic while works are underway.
- Please follow any signage and traffic management measures in place.
