We are upgrading the wastewater system in Kilsyth to help manage heavy rainfall, protect the community from flooding and improve the water environment

What We Are Doing

The upgrade will see a storm overflow constructed in the grass area next to the sports field with new connecting associated pipework and manholes.

In order to allow our operatives to carry this work out safely, we will require to close the footpath that leads from Balmalloch Road to Balmalloch Primary School. We will utilise Highland Park as access for construction traffic and deliveries.

We have and will continue to engage with the local schools and nursery to communicate the closure and alternative pedestrian access to the grounds.

Phased traffic management will be implemented to reduce disruption on Balmalloch Road to facilitate the installation of the new pipework and manholes. Parking restrictions will be in place during this time.

We thank the community in advance for their patience and understanding while we carry out this essential work.
